How often does the IRB Meet?

Bluebonnet IRB convenes Monday-Wednesday-Friday.  BBIRB offices are closed on the following observed holidays:

  • New Year's Day

  • Memorial Day

  • July 4th

  • Labor Day

  • Thanksgiving Day and Day After

  • Christmas Day

What are the submission deadlines?

For Full Board Review, complete submissions are assigned to the next available IRB meeting.  For those instances when you require specific deadlines, please contact our office for arrangements.

 

The following submissions are submitted for review upon receipt of a complete submission:

  • Exempt Determinations

  • Expedited (Initial) Reviews

  • Additional Investigators being added to a currently approved multi-investigator study

What is Bluebonnet IRB’s turnaround time?

Bluebonnet IRB’s turnaround times are published on our website here.  Please contact our office to further discuss turnaround times.

Does Bluebonnet IRB have an IRB Registration or Federal Wide Assurance Number?

Bluebonnet IRB is registered with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).  Registration with DHHS covers both OHRP and FDA registration.  Our IRB registration number is IRB00013448 and our parent organization number is IORG0011335.

 

Bluebonnet IRB does not have an FWA number.  Only institutions that are engaged in human subject research conducted or supported by any U.S. federal department or agency required to have a FWA on file with the Office of Human Research Protection (OHRP).

All submissions to Bluebonnet IRB can be made electronically through our secure online portal, IRBManager

How do I obtain a copy of Bluebonnet IRB’s current fee schedule?

A copy of our fee schedule is available upon request.  Please contact our office at support@bbirb.com  or submit a Contact Request.
